Paris Apartment

Anyone who wants to really experience Paris - and live like a Parisian while doing it - will be delighted at the chance to stay in a charming apartment in Montmartre, one of Paris' most  vibrant neighborhoods. Located on a street ending with stairs leading to the Moulin de la Galette, the windmill made famous by artists from from Renoir to Toulouse-Lautrec, the apartment is just over the hill from the last remaining vineyard in Paris.

 Moulin de la Galette

Furnished with fine antiques and art work, the apartment is located on the top floor of a small three-story building, facing the quiet street in the front, and interior courtyard in back.

This charming apartment has all the modern conveniences to make your stay comfortable, including a DSL line for Internet usage, and a television. It consists of a main room serving as both living room and kitchen/dining room, a modern bathroom, downstairs bedroom, a small entry area, an interior staircase leading to a low-ceilinged mezzanine with a study and bedroom and three skylights.

Montmartre was once a village on the outskirts of Paris, attracting the avant-garde art community by its splendid views and cheap rents.  Artists ranging from Impressionists like Renoir, Post-Impressionists like Toulouse-Lautrec and Van Gogh, and modernists like Picasso and Modigiliani all left their mark on a quartier that is still considered the center of a thriving artistic community. Small cabarets like the Lapin Agile, located next to the vineyard, as well as major nightclubs like the Moulin Rouge are just blocks from the apartment.

The apartment rents for $1195/week for two people, and $1495/week for for three to four people.
